Formceal 3000X
FORMCEAL 3000X is a self-adhesive bituminous membrane obtained by the hot laminationof a modified bitumen compound with a cross laminated high-density polyethylene film (HDPE). The result is a waterproofing product that offers superior performance as demanded by today’s advanced building technology.
FORMCEAL 3000X offers a unique combination of mechanical and physical characteristics, such as shape stability an high strength, as well as a limited uniform, thermal deformation.
FORMCEAL 3000X has a low resistance to ultra violet light. It must therefore be protected from direct sunlight.
Composition
FORMCEAL 3000X is made from two structural components:
· Bitumen compound
Bitumen compound obtained from selected bitumen modified with SBS and high tack resins. The special compound has been formullated, improved and adapted to attain conrolled adhesion, allowing easy installation, without immediately sticking fast to the substrate. The membrane achieves final adhesion only after a few minutes and this allows FORMCEAL 3000X to be repositioned if necessary.
· HDPE Protective Film
HDPE Protective Film is hot laminated to the bitumen component. The film gives FORMCEAL 3000X its mechanical and physical characteristics, such as heat stability, shape stability and chemical resistance.
The self-adhesive surface of the membrane is protected by a silicone coated release paper that is strong and will not tear easily.

Special Features
· Completely watertight
Able to resist hydrostatic pressure if adequately supported.
· Cold application
Can be installed without using open flames and all of the problems associated with this system. Ideal for application to heat sensitive insulation panels.
· Chemical resistance
Contains a protective polymer film that is highly resistant to acids, alkalis an other pollutants.
· Flexibility and adaptability
Adapts easily to irregularly shaped surfaces and will stretch without breaking or cracking.
· Toughness
Has a range, which incorporate a polypropylene mesh protection, enabling it to be used in road construction where it is subjected to high elongation and peneteration.
· Self sealing
Able to self-seal on contact, if installed using nails or other fasteners or even if cut accidentally.
· Single layer
Reliable and economical, and is the practical and ideal solution for vertical walls, foundations and tanking.
· Constant thickness
Manufactured using high technology machinery, which contantly monitors their thickness. The films and synthetic materials are manufactured to the highest specifications and quality control requirements.
· Easy installation.
Easy installed using simple and safe tools, reducing the risk accidents.
Packaging and Storage
FORMCEAL 3000X waterproofing membranes are available in 1m x 20m x 1.5mm rolls. The rolls are supplied in cardboard cartons on wooden pallets. Shelf life in original packaging and when stored vertically and at temperature between +5°C/+40°C is two years.
Warranty
Only Hitchins’ trained applicators are approved to undertake all application work.
Formceal 3000x carries a long-term warranty for both the material an workmanship. The warranty is further backed by Hitchins International Fidelity Fund.
